I bought this really nice looking 1988 Jeep Wrangler several years ago. Really liked driving around in it...yanked the top one day, felt like I had the whole world. A convertible and four wheel drive. This was just too cool. Well as most Jeepers will attest, one day you're driving around and this little creature sneaks up on you and bites you in a very intimate way...You start thinking things like: Maybe a little lift, maybe some bigger tires, I bet I could swap the carburetor for EFI, lockers, sway bar disconnects tow hooks, lights, CB, skids, rocker guards, winch, bead locks, Dana 44's, headers, cat-back, jacks, straps...well you get the picture; if you don't, well, don't let it get you down...IT'S A JEEP THING.
First "mod" swapped the
"Cooper hi-way tires" for some BFG All Terrain's
(wanted 31s
but the 5" backspacing on my rims would only allow 235s so rims will
have to come with the next set o' tires)
